Weight Gain and Beverages

When deciding to start a diet, in general, we are all aware of how to handle our food consumption to eat healthier and to lose weight. Whether we decide to eat smaller portions, eat more vegetables and fruit, choose leaner protein, control, or avoid processed food and refined sugar consumption, etc. there is a tendency to think more about the food you are consuming and not much thought towards the beverages we drink. It almost seems silly that something you drink could possibly contribute to weight gain. But unfortunately, it is very much a real fact and true that the drinks you consume can absolutely contribute to your weight gain issues or inadvertently impede you from losing body fat. It is also the easiest thing to neglect watching what you drink, and it can be very easy when the latte you drink turns into one too many. Calorie-wise, we do tend to take the drink we consume on the regular for granted! The Facts Although you maybe already aware of the effects of alcohol on a diet...

Beginner's Guide to Walking for Fitness: Tracking Your Steps

You have now come to realize that you need to get moving and get fitness back into your life, but you just don't know how. Maybe you have reached this conclusion due to recent weight gain that you are uncomfortable with or how you feel. If you have been experiencing fatigue, insomnia, and over all lack of strength and energy during the day, exercise has been recommended to remedy these unfavorable conditions. I remember at my heaviest, not being able to get up of the couch without feeling tired and dizzy. It was very alarming to me because when you are seated particularly on a couch, you are in a resting position. How could it be that I would feel dizzy and tired? This was the moment for me that I knew I had to do something. After some research, I realized that exercise was a part of the answer in not only recovering my health but also in recovering and restoring my mental wellbeing because my good nature had been severely depleted too. I was slowly becoming more and more miser...

How I Became The Catalysttt (My Weight Loss Experience)

I knew it wasn’t going to be easy, but I had no idea it would take me this long and I’d still be struggling. I had always struggled with losing weight and then gaining it back and gaining little bit more each time since my early teens. I tried low fat, sugar free, South Beach, etc. Nothing made sense and nothing was ever long lasting. Finally, I tried Atkins in my mid to late 20s and that lasted all but a year before the weight began to creep back up again. So, when eating healthy didn’t work, I figured it must be that I’m not exercising enough. So, I’d do the treadmill, walk, run, and try the latest fitness DVD series. The end results were all the same. A little result for a huge amount of effort before it stalled and failed. There was no way that I could keep up with the amount of cardio that I was doing. In order to make the scale respond, more time was needed to do more cardio. There was no way I could keep up with being on the treadmill 2 to 3 hours a day to maintain my current we...
